27 hours after the bitter defeat this city suffered yesterday via 3 overtime wins by the Avs in one series, Dallas sports looked to bounce back with the Mavs and Dirk in Memphis.
Too easy.
102-76 Mavs, and you have to feel a little bit bad for Memphis who has now set an all time NBA record, losing not only 12 playoff games in a row, but their first EVER 12 playoff games in a row. They didn't really put up much of a fight tonight past the halfway mark of the 2nd quarter. The 3rd quarter was a laugher. Only 27 from Dirk tonight, but he didn't even need that.
My only concern is having too much time off before the Mavericks travel to San Antonio some time next week. Avery will need to come through for these guys, keeping them focused, while also getting some much needed rest for some injured players.
Oilers win! Defeat Hated Wings 4-3, win series 4 games to 2.
4 goals in one period, from only 2 different guys, and just like that, the #1 and #2 seeds have been eliminated from the West. Thats NHL playoffs for you. As Stars fans, who can you root for now? The Oil? surely not...The Sharks, he@$ no! The Avalanche? GOD NO.
I guess were all Calgary fans now. Not if Anaheim has anything to say about it...
