Stinky Mavs steal one in OT....

The Grizzlies were hungrier, they were scrappier, and they were feistier, but the Mavs were Dirk-ier.

Dirks drains a 3 off of a broken play where they were trying to get 2 and then foul. Amazing stuff. You need stuff like that, bounces, occurences, happenings, that benefit you. No one goes through the playoffs in any sport without stuff like that. Fumble calls go your way, the baseball takes a little jump off the dirt, the puck goes off a defensemans skate and in.... you need those little helping plays. And so Dirk found the ball coming at him out of a cluster of inept rebounders.

This is where it gets good, though.

They got the bounce, but then Dirk had the presence of mind to take FULL advantage, step back behind the 3 point line and then hit a tough shot in a tough building. Where was this Dirk last year? Doesn't matter, he's here now. Doing more MVP like stuff than Steve Nash is anyway....

And you didn't think Dirk-ier was a real word.
