Lunch time Game 1 thoughts...

87-85. Spurs. That's a real basketball game. Not this Phx and LA "let's promise not to play any defense at all" and see who can score more, crap. Suns games are basically like a glorified game of HORSE.

There were about 18 little things they could've done better, and won that game, or at least gone to OT. Everyone likes to focus on the LAST mistake of the game, rather than the just-as-important mistakes in the other 47 minutes.

*Free Throws - 67%?? Terrible, that will fix itself.

*Turnovers - not excessive, but too many. Daniels threw the ball into the 6th row on Sunday, not even he's sure where that was supposed to go.

*Tim Duncan D - When they brought the double team and then a half decent rotation to the shooter Duncan dumped it to, it wasn't half bad. You can't let him dominate like in the first half, though.

*The last bonehead Stackhouse play of course.

*Where did Josh Howard go in the second half?

*My biggest problem - Damp and Diop. Rebounders. Great. Get the ball, thats awesome, they did a good job there. But if you're going to put it back up, go up STRONG. get FOULED. get to the bleeping LINE. Better yet, hold on to the dang thing, and give it to someone who knows what they're doing. No more attempts at offense from those two please, for the love of god.

And pick Dirk apart if you want, but I think he took everything they gave him, and he played a good game. Could've used a little magic in the last 3 minutes though.

Game 2 - The Spurs won't shoot that poorly again, so the Mavs have to match them there. I don't think Timmy will be able to keep that up through the series, but he still requires more attention than Avery was anticipating, apparently.

All is not lost, this thing could go to 7 games. Go Mavs!
