That's wisdom from a very great band....anyways
The top 4 seeds in the Western Conference really did leave us. How could this happen? One theory is that it's just playoff hockey, and that's what happens.
Could be.
Another theory, the bottom 4 teams were all duking it out at the end of the season, and came into the post season with a confidence and rhythm that was far superior to that of the top 4 seeds, who coasted in. With the exception of Calgary, that could be true.
And that brings us to MY THEORY. Wait for it, here it comes. The Western conference is just that much BETTER than the eastern conference. More competitive. More spirited. More real goaltending, more hitting, more grit, and more passion.
That's right, the East sucks. Deal with it Ottawa. The Sabres are a real good team there, I think they belong the west. The Devils rely on Brodeur too much. The Hurricanes dropped two straight to the Habs, and The Senators have great offense. But I'll be pulling for whoever comes out of the West this year.
Unless its the Avs.... A girl's gotta have SOME sort of standards.
