Sluggish Mavs....

The Warriors sucked the Mavs into running up and down the court in the second half. These aren't your 2002 Mavs. They don't do that anymore. The half court set was working earlier in the game. This is what seperates the Spurs from the Mavs. The Spurs can do both. They ran with the Suns last year in the Conference Finals, and then Detroit wanted to slow it down and play defense. They did that too....

The Mavs rebounding last night in the second half was as bad as I've ever seen. So much for boxing out. Aweful stuff last night.

The good news is, now they can stop this stupid talk about getting the #1 seed. Time to focus on the Clippers or the Grizzlies. Or will they?

You've heard of a "trap" game. What about a trap series? Avery has to have this team focused on round one, and not looking ahead to the Spurs in the second round. The Mavs are perfectly capable of losing to bad teams, as they proved last night.

Notes:

I have to move to building 11. Which means I'll need a truck to drive the 15 seconds over there, because I'm not carrying couches and dressers for 10 minutes across the complex.

Walk the Line was good, we watched it last night. What were those pills he was taking the whole time?

In what must be a time honored tradition in her family, Britney Spears dropped her kid on its head. Oh yeah "her nanny" did it.

Gary Matthews Jr and Gerald Laird spark the Rangers offense last night to an 11-3 victory. Buck likes to work everyone into a game early in the season. These two should stay.
