Quick hits.

Some blog quick hits, on this, the eve of NFL football returning to our lives and thus re-igniting sports talk (not to mention this blog.)

Steve Irwin died. And all I can say is that I sure hope it was biiig sting ray, because I've been in the water with plenty of sting rays and never even considered that one could kill me. RIP dude.

Some stupid British bitch thinks she should bad mouth this guy now that she's dead. (http://msnbc.msn.com/id/14694683/)

They have this to say about her:

Greer, an award-winning author, is a frequent critic of
personalities like British soccer star David Beckham and social trends like
reality television.
In 2003 she criticized J.R.R. Tolkien’s “Lord of the
Rings” trilogy for attracting “spaced-out hippies, environmentalists,
free-market libertarians, social conservatives, pacifists, new-age
theosophists,
sexists and racists the world
over."

If you have nothing better to do than criticize pretty much everything, maybe you go ahead and find sometihng else to do!!!

In other news..... some rookie in the NL threw a no-hitter. Interesting because it's the first one in 2 years thrown in the majors apparently. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/5937398?FSO1&ATT=HMA

Now my favorite story in recent days. Tarell Brown was arrested for being in a car at 3am, with a loaded gun on his lap, marijuana inthe car, and oh yeah, he was sleeping!!!!

From this we can conclude several things:

1. Longhorns suck
2. Athletes named Tarell, or Terrell, or Tyrell, or whatever, are all bad people. Ever seen a hockey player named Terrell? no....
3. College athletes out at 3am is a bad idea, guns and weed, or no.

He said "oh we were not smoking, and the gun wasnt mine." Ok fair enough. But hello moron????? Nothing good happens at 3am with guns and weed. NOTHING. Only bad things can happen. Put yourself in a better situation than that dude.... idiot.

1 day until football.

12 days until the first Dallas Stars pre-season game.

blogging makes a comeback, soon....
